I am taking my eight year old son to his doctor in two weeks, because he complains of tummy aches almost everyday. Poor kid! He averages two bowel movements a week - sometimes once a week. When he finally goes his tummy really hurts and it takes 20 to 30 minutes before his poop is all out. He tummy hurts for a good hour afterwards. Monday was a bad day for him. He said it felt like someone was taking a ball and pushing his ribs and back on his left side. I talk to his doctor's office yesterday about fiber supplements and his doctor said he wants to see him before perscribing fiber supplemnts. What kind of questions should I ask his Doctor? I know he should be checked for Celiac, but I'm not sure what else his Doctor should look for. Barb
He has to wait two weeks, because we have one of the best Pediatricians in town. We moved to Wisconsin 1 1/2 years ago and researched the Pediatricians in our town and I came up with this Doctor. I have to drive 16 miles to my children's docotor's appt., because he so wonderful!!! If his pain gets really bad again in the next two weeks I'll take him to the ER and have him evluated right away. I still like to know what kind of questions I should ask. Barbara
