Help!! Drinking water makes me belch and bloat

Can anybody help me! Does anyone know how to stop this. I will become extremely bloated as soon as I drink any water. Sometimes I will let out a huge belch other times I won't. I figure I am swallowing air, but I don't know how to stop!
Also, I've seen to GI Dr's and for each one I need to make an appointment a month in advance! Is this standard proceedure for this type of DR? I just don't know

Do you have problems with hot liquids? Fennel tea might help with the bloating.
I think you're lucky if you only have to wait 1 month to see a GI doctor because some are booked up to 3 months in advance depending on where you are.

Wow. That sucks about the wait time. More people should go into the bussines! I have tried some other teas and the sometimes bother me and sometimes don't. not sure if it is the HOT or the TEA either. I'll give fennel a shot.

Thanks. I am trying. I really think the biggest component of my bloating is swallowed air. But how do I know, it would be nice to be able to see a Dr. But, no such luch for now

I'll have to try doing more of that. I think it would help..but all my meds have me dehydrated so when the water hits my lips I tend to start to chug! Do you get bloated when you drink water too? Air swallowing problem?
