I am taking magnesium for constipation and find that it does work...although I also use glycerin suppositories, as I am totally dependant on them. But without the mag, even the suppositories wouldn't work!:( As to how much, I grind up tablets in a coffe grinder and then put them in gelatin caps, so I am flying by the seat of my pants (pun intended) and therefor can't answer your question. However, since everyone responds differently to things, I would suggest that you start of with just a little and work up to the dose that does it for you.

only post your questions once. (I see multiple double postings by you, including a couple on magnesium). People have tried to help you by explaining the search button for you.

Please, please, please read the boards, search old posts, and only ask your questions once. It really clogs up the boards and when other people do a search, all of your multiple posts will show up for them, which is really frustrating.

If you have more questions about the same topic, just add the question onto the same post. No need to start a new one.

I think people might start ignoring your posts altogether if you keep doing this. It gets tiring.

I'm not trying to be mean. I honestly know what it's like to be so desperate for help. But there is a wealth of information right on this board already...in Heather's posts, on the other boards beside the message board (like the diet and supplemtnt board, the research board, etc. Or check Heather's books out of the library and read them. You have to be willing to do some basic research on your own too.

HTH.
