Anyone ever tried heating up V8 and eating it like soup? I'm kind of curious as to how it would taste.

Yup, it's yummy. I'm IBS-A, and whenever I lean toward C I make V8 part of my morning ritual, and it always gets me going. I made a really yummy seafood soup last week and used V8 for part of the base, and it came out great. It's good stuff. I buy the low sodium variety.

You need to add more than just the V8 for it to be a soup? what else did you add to the base?

Thanks

Have you ever just eaten the hot V8 by itself, or do you always add other things into it?

When my stomach isn't being TOO much of a bother I add clamatto seasoning.. (the stuff they use on the rim of caesar glasses) it gives it just a hint of extra flavor.. I also add soda crackers when i'm eatting it in soup form..

I kind of just threw a ton of things in together. In my freezer I had calimari, flounder filet, some random fish cubes (tuna and salmon, I think), some shrimp, half a bag of brussel sprouts (I know, interesting freezer ... ). I put all that in my slow cooker with some V8, some vegetable stock, some white wine, a couple tablespoons of medium salsa and some tobasco, and a few garlic cloves. If you want to increase the SF content you can cube up some potatoes and add them in during the last hour. I think I cooked it about 7 hours but 5 would probably do. I have it frozen in batches now (so pretty much everything has been restored to my freezer in a new form!). Anyway sorry it's not much of a recipe -- I'm more of an impromptu chef.
