Gas-X during Flare-up?

Is it okay to take gas-x or any type of simethicone during a falre-up of IBS?

So, you might want to go with another brand that contains semithicone....like Phayzyme.

I use simethicone as well and find it highly effective. Activated charcoal caps. are great, too. Beano is amazing & makes a hugely positive difference.

If I'm recovering from a D attack, I am explosively gassy and every time I pass wind I have to run. Heck, some days if I breathe the wrong way it's dangerous. I think, though, I was born gassy! Honestly, if I'm in a D-vulnerable state, even sneezing is potential for trouble. I know, due to asthma, I tend to swallow more air.
