I just read someone's post about alleviating constipation with MOM. Does it really help? does it help without creating gas?

It works for me, but I only take it about once a week (if I'm really 'C' and fiber supplements don't work) as I don't want to become dependent. It does not cause gas for me, but some people have problems with it. Maybe you could try a very small dose and see what happens.

Just wondering how you are doing on the diet. Are you having any luck identifying your problem foods?

It definitely works, but I'd recommend something more gentle that can be taken daily. Do a board search on "Natural Calm"!

What's the update on Acacia and Natural Calm? What's your current doseage? Sounds like you are doing well with the NC! Do you still take it every night?

I wouldn't eat them but perhaps other people can.

You're not going to get as many answers to your questions if you put them in a thread about an unrelated subject. Very few people read all the threads so if someone sees a thread about Milk of Magnesia they may not read it. That means they won't see your question even though they might know a lot about sprouted breads. You'll do better if you start a new thread with a subject that is clear about what topic you want to discuss.

Yup, still take the NC every night! I'm slowly trying to increase my acacia. I added 1/8 teaspoon one day, and that was too much of an increase for me! So I'm increasing VERY slowly... My evening gas is slowly coming back, though, so not sure what that is all about. I'm looking into switching birth control methods...

I have found that eating too much is a BIG trigger for me! I can only eat about a cup of food at a time. And I try to make dinner my smallest meal (very un-American, I know!).

How are YOU doing? Are things getting any better?

How much Acacia are you up to now? And, how the heck do you get yourself to stop eating after only 1 cup of food??? What are some samples of "meals" or "snacks" that you can eat at once? I eat an SF, protien, IF at almost every meal...sometimed dessert too!

I'm up to 3 1/8 teaspoons of acacia daily. Here's my menu for today!

Breakfast: banana-peach-strawberry smoothie w/ rice protein powder
Snack: Cream of rice cereal with ground up almonds mixed in
Lunch: Half of a sweet potato and black bean burrito (I really need to post this recipe!!)
Snack: Slice of zucchini bread
Dinner: Boca chicken patty (no bun), assorted frozen veggies

I don't deny that it's hard to eat small, but I'm realizing how much better I feel when I keep my meal sizes down! Unfortunately, the less I eat, the better I feel.

Not yet, but I'll do that now... It's from the "La Dolce Vegan!" cookbook, which you may already have!
