You know for almost a year I ate a banana every morning with my cereal and you know, I felt great!!! I'm going to go back to eating them. I'm C and I went easier eating the bananas!!

that is a whole lot of great information and apart from all that it is just a feel good, comfort food and gentle on the system.

When I was in the hospital, there was a girl who was severely constipated. The dietician working with her took all bananas and rice off her diet. But this article says it helps with constipation. ![](/messageboards/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif)
I don't think I will ever have a definate answer to this quandry.

I hear ya! But honestly, I don't think anyone knows for sure how bananas will affect a person's ability "to go". For me, they constipate me! I'm an IBS A and they are just terrible for me. As for my dad and brother (who don't have IBS), a banana makes them go!
I guess it just depends on the person...but I hate how you hear one thing and then the other!
