Have you heard of Eat right for your blood type?

I have just been diagnosed with IBS so I am searching for answers. A few years ago I found eat right for your blood type and it made me feel better, but the abdominal pain never completely went away. I have had other gyne complications in the past but now have had a complete hysterectomy so that is no longer a problem. My question has to do with that according to this web site, white flour is ok. According to ERFYBT white flour is a no no. Do you know why the conflict in information?

I FOUND EATING JUST POTOTOES FRUITS AND VEG HELP ME A LITTLE
I WENT TO A HEALTH FOOD STORE AND BROGUHT SOME CHARCOAL FOR GAS
I JUST STARTED TAKING IT
I FOUND OUT THAT BREAD RICE PASTA HAVE SUGAR IN THEM AND THT CAN CAUSE GAS
DO U GET GAS PAINS ALSO?

I actually read that book. But for me it states red meat as the best form of protein, and not chicken. Actually I have to do just the opposite. But, I think it's a good thing to maybe consider, tweaking here and there.

Not too much for the gas pains unless I eat beans or capuccino. Mostly just low back and abdominal pain. When I was doing the blood type diet. I felt a lot better but I never ate potatoes and I did not have the pain when I started it like I do now. I am an "A" blood type so potatoes are a no no.
The IBS diagnosis is new so I am not sure what route to take. The blood type diet or the IBS and I am not sure how to combine the two. I'll have to do some experimenting and research.

Hi Dot,
Yes fruits and vegies are good. The best bread I found for that diet is called "Ezekial" bread. It is made with sprouted grains. I guess they make the flour from the sprouts instead of the whole grain. I know that I can eat it and it does not hurt my belly or make me swell up. You can ask your local health food store if they have it or if they can get it for you. If your local store can not get it for you send me an email at kayteeg@alltel.net and I will get more detailed info for you. Also if you have a fax number I can fax you an awesome food chart for blood type "A". It breaks down the food into three groups, beneficial, nuetral and avoid. All on one page. I am going to really try to get back on it strict and see what happens. Then maybe I can figure out how to fine tune with the info from this site.
