I have been dealing with IBS-C for many years and had it controlled for a good while with proper diet and daily use of Citracel Clear. Then, a few months ago, along came GERD. Because I also have tinnitus (ringing ears), I must always be aware of meds that are ototoxic. I tried taking reflux meds, but they caused my ears to ring more. So, I quit them and recently tried taking several teaspoons of apple cider vinegar daily to control the reflux (I read about it on Bragg.com) and it worked; however, after a week of using it, I have had two days of D, probably brought on by the vinegar.
Does anyone know of an alternative, natural remedy for reflux? Dave

There have been some posts that say digestive enzymes might help (here's one). I haven't tried them, so I can't speak from experience. You might check with your doctor and see what she thinks.
I'm surprised at the vinegar causing diarrhea. I did a quick Google on "vinegar diarrhea" (no quotes) and the references I saw referred to vinegar as a cure for diarrhea. Are you taking it after a solid SF base? Could you try taking a little less and see if it still helps with reflux?
