I had my colonoscopy last week. I was very scared but got a lot of good advice here. Thanks for all who responded! It went very well. No pain for me!

Well, I just received my results of the colonoscopy. Dr said that my colon is fine, no polyps but a couple of pockets (diverticulitus, sp?). He told me about how my diet should be and is going to give me an abdominal ultrasound. I actually don't have D anymore (it's been months now), just cramping in my pelvis area. So it doesn't sound like I have IBS. I'm stumped as to what it is. Endometriosis?

Anyone else just have cramping and gas as their symptoms, but no D or C?

I have it too. How many diverticulae do you have? I have four, but if I get many more, I'll have to have part of my colon removed.

The belief used to be that seeds were to blame, seeds that got stuck in the "pockets," unable to get "flushed out," and became infected. Actually, I'm hearing now that it's high fat foods that are to blame.

On a positive note, CONGRATULATIONS on not having IBS! That's MARVELOUS news! Please share your diet with us. I'll bet it's extra low in fat......

Girl if you had endometriosis you would know !! uh huh trust me I know what I am talking about. I had it and thought I was dying. It is excruciating pain. feels like somemone took a thousand knives and twisted and turned them in your whole pelvis area. I wanted someone to put me outta my misery. thats how bad it was. then to top it all off it took 3 docs and almost 1 yr to get the right diagnosis. by then I had to have a hysterctomy so I know the pain
