So I have yet another question, this time about cereal and soymilk. I'm getting very bored with plain french bread for breakfast and was hoping to start eating cereal. I love plain cheerios and crispix. Are either of these safe for us? I also like soymilk, but am confused as to which kind I would put on cereal. I like vitasoy original lite and vitasoy vanilla lite. Which is better for a bowl of cereal?

I really appreciate your help!

Amber

Yes, plain Cheerios and Crispix are safe to eat. I prefer plain soy milk or rice milk to one that's vanilla flavored. Right now I'm using Rice Dream Original. I've tried Vitasoy Original (not lite) and liked it as well!

Crispix is definitely safe. As for the soy milk, go with whichever you like the taste of - personally, I like vanilla soymilk on cereal, it gives it just a little bit of sweetness, but if you're not a sweet-breakfast person, the plain might be better.

I prefer vanilla rice milk with my cold and hot cereals. You mentioned your tired of plain bread. Once in a while I use egg whites or egg beaters and make french toast with maple syrup or dark karo. My DH fav is egg, sausage, cheese on english muffin. Of course mine doesn't have the sausage, cheese or yolk but I do love it. I bought those little round things to cook the eggs in so it fits the muffin. Silly but fun!

Also rice chex and rice krispies, of course. I personally like mine with vanilla flavored, but then, I never did like milk, and don't add other sweetener when I use the vanilla

I have been eating instant oatmeals w/ lactaid milk with a bananna and am getting bored also. Cheerios are ok and I have been trying to find Alphabits b/c I liked them as a kid! Tried the toasted english muffin w/ a tiny but of marg and it went well..I try to always have some banana. BUT!!! I miss my eggs so much..are the eggbeaters really any good? I am better..its not a quick fix b/c I still eat meat for dinner a couple times a week. My big problem is in the AM about an hr after bfast and then maybe sometimes after a very lite lunch. Still better than before!!

I confess....I'm really addicted to Rice Cheks with Soy Dream Original Enriched Soy Milk. Breakfast, dinner (after yoga), or snack anytime of day! Maybe it's the crunch! But, the Original Soy is not so sweet as some others.

I like the plain, for me the vanilla is too sweet.

Ditto for me!!!! I mix in some shredded wheat with the rice chex in the AM since I'm C. It's been working nicely.
