I was on a third date last night and had a mild attack in the restaurant (I have no clue why, I was eating right, safe Indian food with rice and bread first). I had to go to the bathroom three times in a row.
I had told the guy on our first date that I had ibs thankfully, and he was totally understanding. We had time to kill before a movie so it was an excuse to go to Starbucks (nearby thankfully!) and get some peppermint tea. Plus, it gave him an excuse for some extra affection, heehee (see, good things can come from ibs)

Sorry to hear about your attack, but it is wonderful that you are dating someone who understands our crazy bodies and is not letting it affect your relationship.

I'm glad it worked out for you anyway. I find that when I tell people I have IBS like you did, it takes some of the stress and embarrassment out of it all.

Ugh, that is so embarrassing. I was the queen of IBS safe dating (self proclaimed). I would turn dinner and a movie into a movie and dinner, so I wouldn't have to skip out on the show every half hour, bowels cramping.
Think there's going to be a second date? If there is, he might be a keeper!! I'll cross my fingers for you!
