Question and Seems a bit better

Question first,
It seems like when the IBS acts up, "I'm among the ones that need a skate board to get to the little room."
Anyway, my legs seem to cramp and feel stiff, do any of you have this also?

The bit of good news.
Because of the very high cholesterol and the IBS I took some of the food list and off to the store we went.
Took a lot of time reading labels, even hubby started to help by reading them.
He would pick up something and as another customer would walk by he would say, nope, this is not good for people.
So at least he made it more fun.
Because of the cholesterol and high blood pressure, things must be low salt, now no fats, it did take a bit longer to shop.

It's been only a couple of days but this morning I didn't need be in a hurry.
Will have to get used to the Silk Soy milk. I am also using the Benefiber.
I can't say I "feel" a lot better, but do see an improvement.

I'm hoping as someone wrote that the cholesterol will go down.
The doc. put me on pills for this yesterday but usually they cause body pain, one can hope these won't.

Very "glad I found you guys."

Hi Tillie, You don't have drink soy milk. I found that I got
gassy from soy milk and switched to rice milk, which I think
even tastes much better. Also, If you have high blood pressure
be very careful with the amount of fluids you drink and the
time within which you drink. Lots of fluids in a short period
of time can significantly raise your BP. Are you on HBP meds?

Your husband sounds cool! It's always easier when you have somebody around to help out and make things more fun.

When I'm having an attack, sometimes I do feel pain in my lower back and into my legs, in addition to the usual abdominal cramping. I've heard others say they have similar symptoms when their IBS flares up.

It might take a while for you to feel good, but stick with the diet. My D was resolved quicker than the pain and gas; I think it took a few months for me to become stable. You should also see improvement in your cholesterol levels since this diet is high in SF and taking a SFS has been shown to help lower total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol.

Best wishes!

Oh yes, but the good news is I'm on less meds. now, no idea why but just happy about it.
I will try the rice milk and watch the amounts of fluids.
No one said anything about this before.
Thanks, will take "sips" of water from time to time."

Thanks,
I was beginning to thank it was all in my head.
I have had so many tests, the scopes, the blood work and nothing showed up. So the Doc, said watch your diet, but no one would tell me "How" to watch it.
I was eating healthy, but now I see, in the wrong order.
I was adding too much fiber, and also not eating as I said the "right order"
I'm going to start riding my in house bike again.
Where there's hope there's a way.
Well off to take care of my furkid. She's a Westie"

I recently had that experience. I was in bed for the night, and I suddenly woke up with very stiff legs. I felt like I had restless leg syndrome or something. I felt like I immediately needed to sit up and move, like there was pressure being exerted onto both of my legs.
Was this from IBS? Or do I have bad cholesterol or something?
I actually have to go back to the BTC diet, because I've been having a rough week. So, hopefully everything will work out gradually.

I don't really like soy milk, but I found that Rice Dream milk and Blue Diamond Almond milk tastes a lot better. Try them to make eating IBS friendly more enjoyable.

Not a good feeling.
It's like you have starch in them.
I'm hoping that riding my house bike will help.
Hope you don't have bad cholesterol, I'm sort of scared of mine now.

Hi Tillie, Less meds, well your BP must be down and stable,
that's good. Yes, I wasn't warned about 'water blasting'either
until it was too late.At least now, it won't happen to you!
Good luck with everything. -Bob
