I read through the posts on oat bran, but they confused me more! I had been taking benefiber caplets out with me to take before meals on the go, but I was taking 6 caplets to equal 3 grams of soluble fiber. I noticed that many stores sell oat bran caplets (only need to take 3 to = 3 grams of soluble fiber), and I thought on one of the sites it said it was entirely soluble fiber, so I bought them. The first time I used them, I had an attack of D, but it was only my 2nd day on total regulation. I tried them again the next day, and they seemed okay. Now, I am a little afraid to use them. I can't have more insoluble fiber (I am a vegetarian, and I get enough from my diet--plus it is a major trigger for me). I don't want these pills to go to waste. I need to know if oat bran is 100% soluble fiber. THANKS.

Here is Heather's take on oat bran.

If you're still worried, you can contact the company that makes your pills and ask them.

After a bad attack, I suffer for hours with severe rectal pain. Is there any treatment (over the counter) that anyone can recommend to help with this? Thanks!

You should start a new thread about your subject to get more feedback since some people will skip a post about oatmeal.
