Help..I was doing so well!!!

I started the diet two weeks ago..taking out and adding all the new better belly foods and was doing well..having normal BMs and now I seem to have gone backwards a few steps..right after I eat my oatmeal and pear in the AM, it starts. Any suggestions??

Hi! Glad to hear the diet has been working for you. I'm sure this is only a temporary setback and you'll be feeling good again in no time!

It could be you added back too much IF, too fast, to your first meal. Oatmeal is safe for most people but it does contain about an equal amount of IF to SF. I also tend to follow Sand's 2:1 ratio of SF to IF in meals.

How are you eating your pear? You should probably eat it peeled and you could even chop it up and add it to your oatmeal.

I would also add in a piece of toast to up the SF amount or have it first as a pre-breakfast. A lot of us tend to do better if we start out slowly with breakfast, so we have something when we first get up and then eat our regular breakfast a little later (I wait anywhere from 15 - 30 minutes).

Are you taking an SFS before you eat?
