Above Navel Pain

Does anyone else experience their pain above their navel? I have had ongoing diarrhea for 6 months and pain about two inches above my navel at all times. Sometimes it's worse than others. It got to the point once that I went to Urgent Care. They wanted to give me Percocet but I opted for Tylenol #3 thinking that they would be more gentle.
A little history. I had a normal colonoscopy, and the only thing that has brought me relief is Librax. Nulev and Bentyl didn't even touch the pain.

Pain that high could be from stomach lining issues like gastritis or ulcer. So sorry you're doing so badly.

I had an endoscopy and the GI doctor said that she saw "flattening" (some) of my villi in my duodenum. She assumed that I had celiac. My biopsy came back inconclusive.
At that point she said it "must" be IBS. I ordered an Enterolab Enterolab testing
Stool test and gene panel plus malabsorbstion and milk sensitive.
I was just wondering if it could be IBS with my pain being so high in my abdomen. I figured I'll follow Heather's diet until my panel comes back. That way I'll know by then whether or not I have IBS or Celiac.
I have had a hard time getting doctors to take my questions seriously. I learned that 1 in 120 to 150 North Americans have Celiac disease. That's a lot of people for it to be considered "rare". Plus the "gold standard" for testing is outdated.
Please forgive my rant. I'm just tired of doctors wanting to prescribe something for me instead of taking my concerns seriously.

I "fired" my first GI who treated me as you are describing. I have a new GI and also a new Gyno and between the two of them we have been making slow progress at putting me back together and getting me functioning more properly. If you have a choice at all, I'd be looking for a new Dr. You should not have to live in pain and they should not write you off just because THEY aren't sure what it could be - a good Dr will go find out what they don't know, and not quit until they have been of some help to you.

I have pain about 2 inches above my navel, and I'm IBS-D. I don't get heartburn or upper GERD symptoms. My doctor way back said it was gastritis, and to watch the Ph of my foods. I avoid acids (esp katchup and tomatoes!) and I do much better. I have kind of a constant pain. But my first sign of D is often a twinge in my upper gut.
I take codiene + acetominophen. In some countries T3 has caffiene in it. Don't take the one with caffiene! It'll make the pain come back.
