Hello There! I have just found this website and am thrilled! Brilliant!
After reading the information I am wanting to go on a diet over the next few days that will calm my colon down. I have noted the advice on eating soluble fibres and drinking peppermint tea.
Is Brown Rice a soluble or insoluble fibre???
Many thanks indeed, Susan

I've been wondering this too. I've heard that is has both, but I want to know if I can eat it on an empty stomach. Anyone?

The way I understand it it has both but maybe more IF and shouldn't be eaten on an empty stomach by those more sensitive to IF, but many can tolerate it as a base.
-------------------- IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
