colon cleansing

I'm new to the message board so forgive me if some of my questions seem elementary.
I suffer with IBS-D....I'm curious if colon cleansing is at all beneficial for IBS sufferers. Also, if anyone has tried this, does it cause painful cramping during the cleansing period?

I would not recommend it, it can cause alot more problems than it will help. I would do a search of the boards because this comes up ALL the time

I am currently getting off a colon cleanse, & yes it does cause cramping. I am an IBS-C, so I can't imagine an IBS-D trying a cleanse. So, I would have to say, don't try it. Just try Heather's diet & see if that doesn't help. Hope this helps....
