Anyone know a good GI in the Phoenix metro area?

I have a friend who lives in the Phoenix area (Scottsdale). He has been exeperiencing horrible stomach problems for quite some time now and all the doctors he has visited are seeming to give him the run-around. One laughed at him when he suggested that he may have Crohns. IBS was also the first thing crossed off the doctor's list of suspect conditions. Despite the fact my friend has been in horrible pain, suffers from nausea and dizziness and can hardly eat anything, no doctor has ordered a colonoscopy.

So, any suggestions about good GIs would be greatly greatly appreciated! Thanks!

It definitely sounds like your friend needs to see a "real" doctor. You can check out this thread on good GI docs. The first one Heather lists, Dr. Lucy Harris, moved to the Mayo Clinic in Arizona. If she's still there, I think that would be an unbeatable combination: The Mayo Clinic plus a GI doc recommended by Heather.

I see Dr. Steven Glouberman. He's located in right in North Phoenix. Don't have the number handy, but I'll get back to you. He's pretty nice...
