I have been taking 1 mg a day since last Friday night. I have no improvement in symptoms to report that I can be sure of. I have been feeling a little better but I think that is unrelated and negligible. I can say that the melatonin seems to make me more drowsy in the mornings. I normally sleep well and wake up easily but I have been sleepy a couple mornings this week. I am definitely going to try another week on the stuff. My alterations or so minor that I could have been taking a placebo for all I know! (if this were a real test )
-------------------- IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

I'm sorry to hear that! I was hoping you would have a good report!! I haven't bought any of it, yet. I guess I won't now. Well, I started taking the elavil again, too, and there are ALOT of things that interact with it because it's a tricyclic antidepressant. So, I better cut back on most of the stuff I'm using with it.
Hang in there a little longer! Maybe it will kick in, eventually!! Hope you're feeling better!!
