Coconut milk isn't good for me, either. For me, it gives me gas, it makes my colon spastic, too, and it makes me feel like an attack is coming though it doesn't always.

I eat it very often and have never had problems unless the dish at a restaurant was too fatty all around. I have eaten coconut milk based dishes at restaurants and actually been fine if it just had 1/4-1/2 cup or so. You have to be very careful though that the total fat is in a safe range since it can add up fast. Lite coconut milk has 12-16 grams of fat per cup.

"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

IS VERY high fat content. Even the lowfat versions are high fat.. but I can tolerate those in small doses with lots of SF... I love thai food, but only order things in restaurants made with coconut milk if I'm prepared to pay the price! I do make coconut milk based curries at home in the low fat milk and even then I can't have a ton of the sauce like everyone else does!
