Well, the day finally came. I sat down with my boss today to discuss work schedule for the new year. Currently, I was working Tuesday and Thursday at this place, and weekends at a fun science center. So, he said the woman working M, W, & F did not get the job anticipated for January, and that they are goign to have her work 5 days a week. So, I'm out of that job...I understand his concern about me being reliable (considering at the moment I am quite unstable still, but trying my best). And with only 2 days a week, calling off once is a huge deal. So, I am really dissapointed. It took everything out of me this morning to crawl out of bed and PUSH myself here. I mean, my belly was cramping and I felt miserable. I wish they understood how difficult it is. He did say that in Feb I can give a call and if I'm feeling better then, I can come back maybe full time. But until then, this sucks. I'm only working Sat & Sun without this job...4 days a week was pushing it anyway, now I have 2! AHH! So, I'm frustrated and wish I could get this IBS under control and regain my life. It's emotionally really tough. I'm seeing a therapist and it helps a bit, but I need more time and more stabalization to feel better, you know? Well, I've ranted enough--I just need some support. Bills and Rent will be tough for a bit, but I'll make do hopefully! Thanks for listening

What are you doing for a diet, and are you taking anything for the IBS?

I don't know if you're at all religious, but have you tried prayer or meditation. God can be a good anchor for you when you're in a storm. There were times when I was in terrible pain, crying, and feeling very much in despair. Believe and trust in God. He may not give you a cure or a particular thing you want, but He can give you the strength and courage you need to get through very tough times.
