FL When I took Prevacid for the first few months it didn't bother me but boy I sure had terrible D after that. The sad thing was that the doc didn't take me off of it. I found out myself about the D problem and quit taking it on my own. She once said that if she didn't take Nexium, everyday would involve vomiting. And I'm like that, now. I cannot live without the Nexium. I tried to stay off of PPI's for months......My health quickly declined...And I finally got to the point where I couldn't even eat crackers without being VIOLENTLY ILL!!! It is horrible. I am only going to stay on it until the reflux heals and then I will come off of it, but who's to say how long that's going to be??? It sucks... Michelle -------------------- IBS-D. When I saw the article the first thing I thot was It's not fair, they find help for one symptom, and it increase the severity and violence of another!! That doesn't necessarily mean that it WILL be a side effect for a particular person since everyone's system is so different. I guess it's just a trial and error thing to find out what works best with the fewest side effects.
