I posted yesterday about having not gone for 2 days and then having a perfectly normal day. Well today...I felt normal until I went grocery shopping. I felt like I had to go but could hold it. I get home, get my son lunch, and POW, big D hits me and I couldn't get to the bathroom fast enough! I literally exploded when I got there with the gurgling stomach accompanying it all! I've gone 3x in the last hour and feel my stomach still gurgling. I got a little cocky yesterday, having coffee, ham, cookies loaded with fat. You know eating like there was no IBS in me!
I'm making a nice cup of peppermint tea and going into the corner with my dunce cap!
Back to my safe diet! Sandy

I know, I'm sure there's a bunch of us who have at least one moment in our lives where we think we're CURED when we have a normal BM and eat whatever we want. No a good idea, right?!?!
Keep it safe and feel better soon!! Michelle

I can so relate!! I was fine for about two days till last night when I ate about 2 cups of veggie chili & god knows how many home made corn tortilla chips. Granted they were both safe foods but boy did I over do it on the quantity. Now I'm paying for it. Gas & bloating all morning so far. When will I ever learn!!!!!!

I constantly make mistakes like that and I'm a moderator for cryin' out loud!!!! Don't punish yourself. Sip your peppermint tea and dust yourself off and keep going. Think of it as a learning experience. You will find that you might get away with the odd cheat, but until you're really stable (I'm talking it may take MONTHS), then try the occasional sneak. But ALWAYS after a very safe meal and in a VERY small portion.

Oh no! {{BIG HUGS}} I have so been there. It's hard to remember what it's like to be sick when you're WELL! Kinda like those new mothers who go through 36 hours of labor then smile holding their new baby and say they want another one right away!
I go 3 days without D and say I'm cured! sooo often. Then it's pizza and ice cream and brownies with reckless abandon until I'm sick as a dog later swearing I will never eat again!!!
Pick yourself up, babe, take a deep breath and keep going. It's not your fault. We all want to eat like we're normal.
