I have a question for anyone who is able to drink alcohol. The last few times I have had a drink with rum in it, the next day I feel fine without any tummy problems, like the alcohol has relaxed me. Any other kind of alcohol really bothers me and makes me very sick. I happened to lead a very stressful life, including an extremely stressful job and living with 2 kids that never give me a moments rest.

Has anyone else experienced this. I wonder if it is just coincidence of if there is a reason it happens.

I have not been ably to drink much at all. I've been a Beer drinker for years, Now I can't drink anymore that one,or heavy cramps & gas.I tryed a rye and ginger (Canadian Club) but could not drink any more than two. But I will try the rum!

I have been unable to drink any alcohol for a long time. Unless I want to spend the rest of the party
in the washroom.

I haven't found any alcohol to cure this problem. I'm sure every person is different though.

I must be lucky as I can drink alcohol without it affecting my stomach. I usally have premixed vodka drinks eg cruisers or fusions. I can't have it mixed with orange juice though.

I can often tolerate a small bit of wine with a meal. White wine seems to be easier than red. Don't know why. I used to enjoy the odd bourbon or rye, but only on a full stomach and sipping it slowly.

HanSolo - red wine is made with the grape skin and innerds. That could be why (I think!)

You crack me up. You're also probably right. If I ever move to California, will you adopt me as family??

I stupidly drank Baileys (a cream whisky mix) before a party at Christmas and sat there unable to move for fear of being ill all evening!

Aww, gee, and I thought I'd be rejected over the whole fish thing. You wouldn't have to live with me - just come over for supper once in a while. And, I change my mind about the TP thing, I usually like over the top, unless it's really close to where you're sitting and then I like it down under.
