I eat oatmeal (microwaved) and some sort of toast with jelley every morning with a cup of peppermint tea.

Lunch is never easy for me. I cook chicken, pasta, and some zuchinni and carrots on a Saturday or Sunday and freeze it in individual size containers. Then I pack one for lunch with some french bread and microwave it. I also bake sweet potatoes and cut them in half and freeze them also. Basically, I make my own frozen dinners.

On weekdays, I typically eat Cheerios or oatmeal (I like Heather's recipe for blueberry oatmeal).

For lunch, I usually take leftovers or sometimes I have a turkey sandwich.

I have a pretty standard morning routine....

I brew some hot water in my hot-pot (electric tea pot) for plain instant oatmeal and some peppermint tea. While that's brewing, I have a glass of room temp water with my SFS and multi-vitamin.

After that, I read the paper, eat the oatmeal, drink the tea and that's it. Works fairly well, and I branched out last weekend and had a packet of flavored oatmeal (it was a treat... after weeks of plain, it was like manna from heaven!).

That's a good idea for those frozen dinners.

Right now, I'm very unstable with my hiatal hernia.....I can hardly eat anything.

Breakfast: Oatmeal (Instant) with Fennel Tea and maybe a banana if I'm still hungry.

(can't have peppermint because of my acid reflux)

Lunch: Plain white rice with some cinnamon, soy milk, and stevia. And a Banana.

Very yummy and digests really nice!!

Dinner is pretty much the same thing. I can't eat anything after 5:00pm as per doctor's orders. No meat.....too acidic right now.

I prefer malt o meal which takes 3 minutes to make and for lunch I like soups, breads like zucchini I have made ahead of time, reduced fat PB&J, microwaved sweet potato with smart balance. I eat other lunches once in a while.

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

It doesn't make you all bloated and gassy??? I would really like to try it again. I used to love it as a kid but haven't eaten it since. But, I'm getting tired of oatmeal. Cream of Wheat kind of doesn't agree with me. Is Malt-o-Meal the same thing???

Are you IBS-D or IBS-C???

It's a sweetener. Awesome stuff!! IBS-Friendly, too!!
I get it at any health food store. It comes in a little bottle with a dropper and it's really strong stuff. It's expensive...$14.00 per bottle, but it lasts a long time because you really only need a couple drops of it. I love it. I use that instead of sugar because of my reflux.
You should give it a whirl! Good and really sweet!

I have luna bars usually during the week. They are filling, safe, and yummy.
