Not sure if there's any connection here, but I had five teeth removed earlier this week (four wisdom and one more, just for fun.) It's been HELL. But my ibs hasn't bothered me a bit in the last four days. Maybe it's the drugs? Vicodin do anything to the digestive system? Maybe it's the fact that the most I've had to eat in one day is a soy pudding and soy yogurt. Just curious, isn't it...?

Perhaps because you are eating soft, easy-to-digest foods, your IBS is better.

I remember when I had my wisdom teeth out (many moons ago), I got horribly ill because of the penacillin I had to take. When I had more wisdom teeth removed a year later (I had my wisdom teeth taken out in two separate operations), I opted for pencillin injections so I didn't have to take the antiobiotic orally and so have it aggravate my IBS. The injections were very painful, but worth it because my IBS was fine. I was also unable to take any painkillers because of my IBS so thankfully I had a terrific surgeon and I hardly suffered any pain in the aftermath at all. Perhaps my mouth was too swollen to feel pain!

Hope you get better soon. As I recall, it took me about two weeks to get my energy back. I was about 30 when I had the surgery.

...has a constipating effect like all the narcotics, so if you're normally D, this is easy to understand!
