I am a c,went to see a dietician(where i live you see a dietician before a specalist)I had doubts when i read the sheet of foods you can and cannot eat, example;eat as much as u like of-eggs,cheese milk, red meats.the list goes on.So anyway i get this Normacol granuals took one spoon,4 days later i am still in lots of pain.the annoying thing is i was pretty stable before this.I have been eating sf but still i am c,i am scared this has undone all the hard work over the last 8 months.

I suggest you stick with the normacol granules as they have saved my life. Iam ibs-c and have what is called a redundant colon, long loopy colon. At one stage I was having 4 tbsp a day but now am on 1 tsp per day. I cannot take metamucil or anything that you mix with water as it just blows me up. You should give the normacol time to get into your system and allow your body to adjust, remembering that everyone is different though. My main problem has always been bloating, constipation and abdo pain. Iam now on a product called intestamine and magnesium powder which has helped with the pain but are stilled bloated. Iam in an awkward situation in that I need to eat a wheat/fruit free muessli and wheat free wholegrain bread from country life to keep me regular but this tends to bloat and give me pain. Cannot eat fruit as I believe that I have fructose malabsorption. Does anyone else out there have what I have or tried any of the products I have mentioned ?.
