I don't know how else to describe the symptom. The rest of my body is fine. I'm not having cramps but my abdomin is swollen and tired and I need to sit down. I know it's kind of strange, because th rest of me is not tired. Does that sound wierd? Am I going crazy or is that a normal IBS symptom?

Does it hurt to the touch? Do you have to open your pants and kinda sit down and go "umph"? I get this. It's like everything would be ok except there's this tummy soaking up all of my energy and radiating pain.

Yes, I get this once in a while and have to unbutton my pants or just take them off because my abdomen feels so tender. No, I don't go pantless at work, but since I work behind a huge desk I guess I could get away with it...

Anyway, I'll be feeling fine and then suddenly get this ache in my torso and I have to immediately sit or lie down. But the rest of my body, my limbs, feel strong and fine.

I wonder why this happens. Maybe it's like referred pain or gas? Oh, it's just probably due to those lovely instestinal spasms.

...but I am tender there and it does hurt to touch. Plus when I tuch it feels all lumpy and bumy from the C. I wear loose fitting skirts because as a pre- school teacher, unbuttoning is not an option.

I hear you... I think I get the same feeling, especially after an attack. It's not a pain, but it just feels like my gut is exhausted. I always say it's like my tummy's been run over by a truck.
