Hi guys, it's been awhile and my IBS has been relatively stable. My weight and BMs have been stable. But, about a month ago I started having a feeling in my stomach like I am hungry all the time. Not painful just gnawing. After I eat I feel better for a couple hours. The thing is I know I'm not REALLY hungry--I'm eating enough. Can this be acid? I'm not getting a "heartburn" sensation. Could it be from post-nasal drip going into my stomach (allergies have been acting up)? Any thoughts on how to make it go away? Thanks.

Eating more often should help. Ideally, for IBS management, you should be eating every 2-3 hours anyway. If eating something makes you feel better for a couple hours, then that solution should work out nicely.

And make sure you're drinking plenty of water...dehydration is often mistaken for hunger!

I know what you mean. I often feel the exact same way, and I am not sure what causes mine either. It might not pertain to you, but a gnawing feeling that leaves after eating is sometimes caused by an ulcer. Just a thought...
