I've become accustomed to drinking water lately, but have noticed that I've been getting nauseated...after drinking the stuff! Is this possible? Or is it all in my head? I've started pouring some lemon juice in a glass with ice, filling with water and adding a few drops of Stevia; that seems to work, but plain water? is that possible? (hope this never happens with wine )

Is it tap water? If so, there could be some chemicals in the water system.
You might want to try bottled water for awhile.

It's both, Barbie. When I go for my walks, I take bottled water and am nauseated when I'm returning home. At home, I do drink some tap water, but same thing. I knew it. It's in my head.

No, it's not all in your head. Once when I was trying to pinpoint a trigger, I considered water, too.
Just keep on doing the lemon thing since it seems to help and that should be fine....you're still getting your water.
Good luck Barbie

Drinking too much water can make you nauseous. It depletes your electrolytes, i.e. sodium/potassium. It can cause cramps, too. Be careful of 'diluting' yourself. If I drink too much water, I puke water.

Wow. Kate, that could be it! Diluting the electrolytes, etc...yes, yes...Guess I'll stick to Gatorade for my walks and afterwards. Never thought water could do anything so icky! Thanks for the heads-up, Kate!!!

I can't say that it makes me nauseous, but there are times when a drink of water has triggered off an attack. I think it is that brain-gut thing. Sometimes just anything hitting my stomach is enough to start me off cramping etc. Damn IBS.

just last week. It was horrible. Moral of the story - I'm sticking to room temperature water.
