I begin each meal with 2 1/2 teaspoons of Acacia, a calcium/magnesium supplement and a Super Omega 3-6-9 capsule. Breakfast is either a plain bagel with deli ham and cheese and a side of cherry tomatoes and coffee (yes, I can tolerate it!) or a breakfast sandwich - wheat toast with grape jelly, ham and cheese or biscuits with honey or jam (I bake my own biscuits and have plain, cheese or a buttered crust variety) or occasionally, I eat an egg sandwich.
Keep in mind, I'm fairly stable right now, and try to compose each meal with bread, meat and some IF. I drink sweet, decaf tea at all meals except breakfast and coffee is something I only drink with breakfast. I don't do a lot of cereal hot or cold, and I don't drink a lot a fruit juices...they just don't do me any favors tummy wise. The above mentioned...I alternate tomatoes with strawberries sometimes or an occasional piece of melon. Otherwise, I'm pretty predictable in the breakfast department because it is usually consumed as I'm driving to the office.

Hi Beth, I eat a bowl of Irish oatmeal with a 1/4 cup of Trader Joe's dried wid blueberries in it. I let them soak overnight in the rice milk so they plump up, and then pop when I nuke them and the oatmeal in the microwave. About an hour after eating the oatmeal, I eat a one cup bowl of Kelloggs Raisin Bran again with rice milk in it right now. I was using soy milk. However, of course as you know, I'm not stable , but I'm making through my second week of classes so far. -Bob

I am not a huge breakfast eater...it makes me sick to eat early in the morning so I generally have brunch and it typically isn't breakfast food.

Thanks LM...by the way, what is Scottish Oatmeal? Is it the steel cut? Bob's Red Mill has Scottish oatmeal; I prefer it to steel cut.

I don't think I do very well with oatmeal ...that's why I was trying to get additional ideas. Oatmeal would be the perfect balance of SF and IF. Maybe I'll have to give it a go again. I could have been blaming the oatmeal by mistake...as I have yet to identify one particular food as a problem.
I don't know how the SF to IF ratio goes for either of my cereals. But Oatmeal, I know is 2 and 2!

Well that is too bad if you don't tolerate it. I know it makes some people tooty but not in a bad way. I was going to have oatmeal instead of my usual malt o meal when camping and assumed I would be tooting on the trails.

I eat oatmeal, but in the past if I eat oats for a few days in a row I get an attack. So for me it's fine to eat oatmeal or cheerios a couple days a week. For oatmeal I like to put either a serving of unsweetened applesauce w/ stevia, or a tablespoon of natural peanutbutter w/ stevia. When I have cheerios I like to cut up a banana in it.
The rest of the time I either have low fiber cereal plain or in soy milk, or a small bagel w/ cream cheese(yeah I know, dairy is bad but I'm only having a thin layer). I might have some fruit and/or egg protein powder too.

Hi Beth!! My tummy has been mostly stable for me despite the hormones I'm on! I do oatmeal with a bit of rice milk. I'll toss in strawberries if I have them! I've even seen some oatmeal with flax already in it but never tried it myself!
I can also do raisin bran with rice milk or frozen waffles with jam. Sometimes I'll do a bagel with jam. However, with the miralax, I typically don't get C much anymore, only occasionally. I know you are still struggling with C so I would eat as much IF as you can tolerate! Try adding a piece of fruit, like an orange with you breakfast! For some reason, oranges always make me go! Or maybe buy some frozen waffles, I've seen gluten free/dairy free ones before and top them with fruit! By a bag of mixed frozen fruit and just toss a handful into a strainer and run some warm water over it to thaw it out!!

Howdy, Beth!
I eat my breakfast at work, a couple of hours after I get up and have my acacia. I alternate between soy yogurt (Silk) + 1/4 cup of blueberries + a slice or two of whole wheat bread and a PB&J sandwich on whole wheat or white plus some fruit (banana, apple, the blueberries again,...). Yes, this is raw fruit, although I tend towards the banana side of things if there's any D threatening.
If I go out on weekends, I get Eggbeaters & toast & fruit & tea. Maybe an Eggbeater omelet if any of the ones without cheese appeal.
