You could remove the skin to make it safer, but I would think the frying has made it too fatty regardless. The grease probably has soaked into the white meat. That's just my thought. I wouldn't eat it myself, to be safe. Take it back and get what you paid for...they should give you a coupon for a free meal for the trouble! Or give you your money back on this one.
