When I am having the movement I get bad pain, but after I just have A dull pain. I was diagnosed With IBS last may with a colonascopy(SP?. Should I go to the ER, or am I overreacting. I also have drank red HI-C today. It also felt hot comeing out. Thanks

Hi Chris - Bloody stools are not a sign of IBS. I don't think you have to go to the ER, but call your GI ASAP and let them know what is going on.

Please let us know how you make out.

Called my GI, got an appointment for tomorrow. Told me not to go to the ER, unless I have ALOT of blood in the stool or the pain gets worse.

Went to my GI, it looks like I am fine. After I told her everything, she said that more then likely that it was a false alarm. She said that sometimes if a person drinks to much of a colored drink, if they have D, the stool can show the color of the drink. I have been drinking Red HI-C, I guess a little to much, and I hade a few peanuts, I know I cheated , and that can turn a stool red. She also said that if I had intestinal bleeding or a puncture I would be in a lot more pain. If I get any more pain or the red stools continue I am to go to the ER, and call her right away and she would be there. I love my GI, she's great. There is also the possibility I had or have a small Anal Fissure. SO it looks like I am ok,

Glad to hear it was a false alarm! Sounds like your GI is a great doctor - lucky you!
