Hi Imp, I gather that Zantac is available in the UK, that
should do the job. -Bob

Yep, nurofen will trigger the IBS, and aspirin isn't great either BUT paracetamol is just fine...and is better for fevers and colds anyway. Don't get solpadeine soluble tho as it contains caffeine and check the ingredients on any soluble drugs as often they contain sweeteners. But regular pill paracetamol is just fine (as is pill-form Solpadeine for bad aches).

Hi Linz, What, you mean Zantac? Well, I haven't taken it in
many years, but when I last took it, it was for a jumpy stomach. -Bob

Zantac is for treating ulcers and GERD. It's not a general stomach drug. See here: web page

That's why Linz said it wasn't relevant for this poster, since the poster didn't say that she had GERD.

Bad week last week and I was in a rush. Sorry.

Yep, Zantac is just for acid and reflux problems. It works by inhibiting acid production in the stomach.

Linz, Oh, no problem. You were correct, and I wasn't offended.
You'll note I got my Queen's 24th of Foot pic up . That's
the regiment that was portrayed in the the movie 'Zulu' with
Michael Caine and Stanley Baker(1964). -Bob
