I would think so - 5 days seems like long enough to get a report. And I know it's pointless to say, but I wouldn't worry about what the tech seemed to be saying or doing. I hate to promote the whole doctor mystique, but there actually is a reason why the tests have to be "read" by a doctor who's an expert in the tests and/or by your GI guy - things that look weird sometimes mean nothing and things that look normal sometimes aren't.
Take care.

I just had one 6 months ago- the worst part was the drinking of the barium.. YUK!!!! And it just seemed to make my constipation issues worse for a couple days. It is mostly time consuming. But doesn't hurt at all! Good luck!

This was also my latest test...and i hated it. I liked the barium enema better lol. My results came when i called my family doctor for an appointment for something else and she said, "oh yah, you have IBS" lol i was like..."ohhh gee...thanks"! lol Yes, the barium is quite gross. I gagged with each swallow...but doesnt it feel good to get it over with! Have fun with the snowy poops! *tee hee!* Melissa
