My doctor and I have been searching for a reliable, everday way to calm my IBS-D so I can teach 8th grade, starting next week! Last Wednesday she suggested Immodium: one tablet before breakfast and one before dinner. I have followed this regime for 5 days now, and what a difference!
I haven't felt the "rumbles" or urgent need to go, and I even ate a little dairy (homemade pizza). In addition, Thursday through Saturday morning I was traveling with my husband in Montreal, and this regime kept me normal, instead of me having an attack and taking 3-4 Immodium and then being severely constipated for a few days.
Immodium, I worship thee. My heart is thine!

I don't know what I'd do without Imodium. Actually, that's not true -- I DO know what I'd do, and I'd be in the bathroom all day doing it.
