Rolaids ok for IBS-C?

I am sorry if this has been mentioned on these boards before- i tried doing a search but nothing came up that answered my question fully. i don't know exactly what i have - burning throat, worse when drinking hot liquids, and was wondering if i could take rolaids i have in the house. i am afraid to take anything that could make my C worse. any recommendations on this, and on a particular kind of antacid?

What are rolaids? 
However the burning throat suggests you might have GERDs which you need to get some meds for asap to avoid later complications. In the meantime, Zantac is the best OTC med for it.

Hi Krista, I think Rolaids may have artificial sweeteners in
it. Even if it doesn't, it can cause C to be worse as does
Tums. Linz is right, Zantac is probably the best. -Bob

Thanks guys!! I was going to buy them, but i won't now! Rolaids must only be in Canada, I guess-they are a brand of antacid.

It's an antacid like Tums and has been around for years in the U.S.
