Hello, I just can't seem to get anywhere with this IBS diet and now I'm wondering if I've been misdiagnosed. Yesterday, after lunch of a turkey sandwhich, dry, I started having severe pain and cramps and D, and then threw up a couple times. I was sick most of the night. This isn't a stomach virus because it happens too often. Does this sound like IBS at its worst to you guys or should I get onto my 10th doctor?? PLease help, thanks, Marla

I am sorry to hear you are having such a tough time.
I have read that vomitting isn't part of the IBS symptoms, although a person can vomit occassionally and still have IBS.
If it is happening frequently - I would probably go back to your doctor - just to be safe.
Good luck and keep us posted.

My daughter used to throw up when she had IBS attacks. Check the board for previous posts on this subject with no time limits and you can find some others who also said it was part of IBS for them. Everyone is so different with their symptoms and triggers, no two people are exactly the same with them. Here is one thread I had started months ago about this: Throwing up

Karin,
Spontaneous vomitting is part of IBS, however if vomitting occurs all the time - it says in Heather's book that that is not part of IBS.
I hope you your daughter is vomitting all the time
