does anyone have problems with digesting food

certain foods do not go down they somehow get stuck in the throat and then comes up.

That kind of sounds like GERD or bad acid reflux to me, but that's just a guess. I know with certain foods, I kind of feel like it's gonna come back up, but that's only when my reflux is bad.

This sounds like a sure enough reason to visit a doc. I can say if I were having that problem I would let a doc take a peek. My neighbor had trouble with the opening to the stomach closing and would cause some symptoms you describe. He had some treatment that involved stretching the opening. The doc put him on some meds and he did fine after that. I know less than "nothing" about medicine but I would check this out.

Yeah, I get that as a result of acid reflux sometimes, too. GERD and IBS often go hand in hand. You might want to ask your doc about that sometime if it becomes too much of a problem. Or try Prilosec OTC!

Actually, I did see my dr about it, because it was usually accompanied by a burning sensation in the back of my throat. He said acid reflux & gave me Prevacid. I haven't had it happen like that since.
