This morning I had a really urgent "D" attack & yesterday did not feel so well in the morning either had two bm instead of the normal one first thing this was the first attack in two weeks of being "normal" I ate
applesauce
bread (homemade)
chicken
prawns
dairy free milk shake
'' '' dessert

I had to take a five hour drive yesterday & today I had my hospital appointment for my prolapsed disk I now have to have an MRI scan sometime in the next couple of months depending on the waiting list, so not sure if it was the food or a combination of the traveling & hospital any thoughts?

Hey Helen,
Unless the prawns were a little dodgy (never touch them myself) I would probably say it's stress. I've now learnt to tellt he difference between my IBS tummy upset and stress upset, if I'm stressed I get a butterfly feeling then start to fill up with gas and feel an urgency to sit on the toilet, I now know this feeling so well I can attempt to try and calm myself down. I find Bach rescue remedy a lifesaver. Keep your chin up.

i agree with susie about getting attuned to what's going on in your body. it's tricky, because being hyper-aware of every stomach twinge can set off a stress cycle for me, where i worry about getting sick, and the stress upsets my stomach, and i get more worried, etc. but tuning in to your body can really help - knowing in the morning how safe you need to be that day, being able to feel the difference between your stomach stressing or being upset by food, or even different kinds of food-upsetness.
