Suggestions for pain reliever due to menstrual cramps???

I am looking for one least likely to cause gastro upset. Which would be better for a sensive stomach tylenol or ibprophen?

Acetaminophen seems to be the gentlest as far as our insides go... I can't take ANYTHING typically, but even I can take Tylenol without any problems.

Ibuprofen (and all NSAIDs) can cause tummy trouble in non-IBSers, so for IBSers they're a no-no. Tylenol is safe. Tylenol-plus is great but is constipating.

On a non-medication note, have you ever tried the Thermacare heat pads for menstrual cramps? I *love* them!! Granted, I usually wind up taking a pain reliever in addition to using them, but I really think they help the cramps!

I use feverfew for pain. It is an herbal remedy. It didn't effect my tummy at all. Just a thought...feel better soon *hugs*
