that part of the reason my belly is constanly sore is that my rectus abdominus muscles separated when I had my baby! No one told me that could happen, much less that if I had begun the proper exercises when Boo was six weeks old, I could have repaired the damamge. Now he is 20 months, and it't too late to do anything. I went to the gyno today to rule out fibroids or ovarian cysts. The ultrasound was clear, but I told my doc how much pain and constipation I was having. She said, "no wonder, you have a huge diastatis and no muscle tone". So I am being sent to a therpist to see what exercises to do to minimize the problem. She said that toning up what I can should restore good bowel tone as well and reduce my IBS. That would be a miracle! I would be so happy!

Man! Having babies can really wreak havoc on the bod, can't it! Take it from me, who's had 2 c-sections! Good luck, and let us know how it's going!
