Take the birth control pill everyday? Yes, you take it all the time. You don't want to only take it like a tylenol because getting it into your system and taking it out of your system really causes havoc for your hormones.
My first month I went off the birth control pill I was CRRRAAANNKKKYY! YIKES. If I could have stopped hanging out with myself I would have.....my poor husband LOL

You would take it everyday. You need to be constitant with it because of the hormones. Ask your doctor to explain further.

And make sure you take them at the same time everyday. Don't take it in the morning one day, then the afternoon the next. The same time or it could throw you off.

Hi
You take the pill everyday and then there is a space of a couple of days where you don't take any pills (this is where you have your period). Then you start a new pack in a few days so... with the pill you still get a period. You have to remember to take the pill everyday and it should always be around the same time everyday. You may find with the pill that you will still need some meds to help with the pain but it should decrease from what you are used too.
If you have the depo shot you take the perscription to the doctor and he injects the shot into your arm or your butt cheek and then you go back and do this every 3 months. In this time you aren't supposed to get a period at all but some people do get a bit though I myself never have. If you are using this as just a pain prevention instead of a birth control you can usually get away with getting the shot every 4-5 months instead of every 3. It takes a while to get your period started again after getting the shot. The longest i've gone in between shots is about 6 months. I find that it increases my appetite the first few days after getting the shots.
Good luck

Thanks but why might I need to take another med since I can't take another med for my period since they don't work? I've tried 2 already so since they don't work I have to go on the pill.

The pill was the trigger that turned my IBS from constipation variety to diarrhea variety. Hormones play a big factor in IBS. The pill may change the way your IBS behaves.
