I'm ALOT more tolerant of fat than most IBS-ers...and can cope with some dairy, but IF is my major trigger. So I can have fried fish and chips or pizza fine (occasionally) but a slice of wholewheat bread will give me agony for days!

Lucky you! and a treat. Maybe your GI tract just knew how hard you've been working at it!

I had the same thing happen to me. I finally attributed it to I was eating too low fat---and that was making me terribly C. Once I added fat back into my diet, I had bowel movements! I'm not advocating eating a high fat diet, but your body does need SOME fat to keep things moving.
You can't just eat plain bread, rice and noodles and except to have bowel movements.

In form of oils to cook? Or with certain foods? I don't know how to add more oil in safely which might help my Constipation. I wouldn't know how much was too much. Guess, just trial and error, unfortunately.

...this is actually a reasonable amount! Heather always says it's low-fat NOT no-fat (v. bad for you all round).

Well I was eating some fat, just not much. I was also taking fiber. Who knows!

I have said the same thing about a gut transplant! Please put my name on the list right after yours. I sure do miss being able to eat "normally" like everyone else. I am envious to say the least. I just had to chime in on that one.

Maybe that's all you need in order to allow you to eat these foods??? Are you taking Acacia?
How often are you eating these "iffy" foods? Do you usually eat the safe stuff, and then just the non-safe ones once a week or so?
Do you feel better when you eat these iffy foods more than when you eat the safer foods? This is just so weird!
