Every since I can remember I think I've only gone 1 or 2 times a week. But then I did't pay close attention. I'm trying to get a diagnosis and the doc asked me if I've ever been C. I said no, only D. But after reading the board now I think that I might have been. I though C would make you bloated and gassy and be painful. Well I'm always gassy so...

I take 2 or 3 Immodium when I have to go somewhere and then of course don't go for about a week. But it isn't painful nor do I feel like man I wish I could go. So is that C?

I go back for a follow up visit on monday. All he had me do was cut our dairy for 2 wks and then eat whatever for next 2 keeping a diary.

I found the diet in the process and am a little worried he would tell me I have IBS because the diet seems to be doing a pretty good job. I have had to take Immodium 2 times during the diary and wrote it down, but if that is a description of C maybe I should tell him.

Thanks this board is becoming a wonder for me. I did't know I could take small doses of Immodium everyday. I'm going to try it.

"normal" for me seems to be about every second day. Normal is not too soft, but not all hard and strainey.

The perfect BM for me is one that's firm, feels like I'm really done when I'm done, and doesn't take half the roll of TP to wipe! (sorry, that was gross) That kind doesn't happen too often with me though, so I'm just as happy if it's every second day, and firm.

You *should* be going everyday. So I'd say you get C! It's common to get C and breakthrough D or to alternate between the two.

Make notes in your food diary of when you take any meds like Immodium and let your doc know.
