Hello Linz! How have you been feeling? Well, I am not sure if you remember since it has been a couple of days, but I told you that I was also on my cycle, having MAJOR D attacks and was going to see my gastro. I am not sure if I am going to be of much help to you as my diet is a bit different from Heather's diet, triggers are the same though, so I still feel a part of this fine group.

My doctor told me that just before and during our periods our prostaglandins and progesterone spike, causing an increase in bowel movements. He told me that taking Advil, lowering sugar intake, and increasing olive oil will help to lower the protaglandins for whatever that's worth. The Advil part I knew about as I had read it earlier in some research report, but it has to be taken early on, when you first begin experiencing menstrual symptoms and I know that most people on this board can not tolerate NSAID's.

It was not the most helpful visit. Thankfully, my period is done and I am beginning to feel a bit better - not perfect - but better. Hope you are as well.

Dana

I haven't actually had a period as I'm still on progesterone...but that could explain why I've been so prone to C as it's a lower dose now! I'm kinda the other way round I guess. Hey, that could also explain why I've been majorly craving sugar.
