I occassionally get pain under my ribcage on both sides when I am bloated. Recently, I have started feeling breathless when this happens. It can last several days. Does anyone else notice these symptoms? My doctor seems to think it is an accumulation of acid pooling in my small intestine creating inflammation. Any ideas?
NEVER heard of that before and can't say it makes alot of sense! It's far more likely to be GERDS related...being bloated makes me more likely to get it and that can make me breathless.
I was going to say 'see your doctor about this!' because honestly it sounds kind of worrisome to me, but since you already have done that - is she/he worried at all about this? I'm going to have to agree with Linz that the 'acid pooling' explanation doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me either, BUT that yeah, it's almost certainly GERDS- and not IBS-related (have you been diagnosed with GERDS?)
