Cyndy-
I find that bannans are good for my tummy. I eat one almost every day. Usually around 10:00am for a snack. As long as you are getting in your insoluble fibers safely they shouldn't be a big constipator.

I think some Cers and some Ders don't like bananas. I eat 2 every day but make sure they are NOT too green (underripe). The green ones will cause C. Bananas are such a wonderful snack. They are diet ok with 100 cals each and no fat, and filling and a great soluble source. A banana and a piece of insoluble fruit makes a great first or light lunch/snack!

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
