Lobster should be fine. I actually made a lobster salad last week with FF mayo and I handled it just fine. Thank goodness, because I LOVE it!

I live in Alberta, so we don't get it all that fresh, but it's my FAVORITE food on earth. I eat imitation all the time-tastes awesome to me, and I just nuke it, and put a bit of Becel in with it-it's totally fine for me. I cut back on the big clump of garlic I used to use bec. of the GERD though. Dang.

I LOOOOOVE LOBSTER!

Northernish... I'm in a small town about 70 miles or so north of Bangor (translation: almost the middle of nowhere!). Have you always lived in Maine? I'm a transplanted New Yorker and I absolutely LOVE it here.

We're at opposite ends (almost!) We live in York...since '78...I grew up in Portsmouth, NH so didn't travel far! If you're ever in Portland and want a great cruise of Casco Bay we own Eagle Island Tours at Long Wharf. My husband and son are the Captains and they really give a great narration!

I was just going to do a "search" but you seem very knowledgeable about stuff so....what brand of calcium supplement is safe (AND do I need one? ) Judy

Sweet! I will definitely keep that in mind for warmer weather... Adam (my boyfriend) grew up in Maine and says Portland is really nice, but I've never been there, so that's actually on our to-do list. And I'm all about boat tours!

I tend to think calcium supplements are a good idea for just about everybody, but especially women. It can also be a huge help for D (but it's safe for C'ers as long as you balance it out with some magnesium). Ironically, I don't take a calcium supplement, because I have trouble with pills and have yet to find one that's small enough for me to swallow without having to chew it. (Yuck.) So you might be better off trying a search for brands. The only brand-specific thing I know is that Viactiv, those tasty flavored calcium chews, are NOT ibs-safe because they contain dairy. Bummer!

Portland is awesome...IF we ever get any sunny weather...

Guess I'll just stick with the calcium in my fibercon for now! Thanks!
